An Interview with Susan
What do you do at Liberty?
Help the asset manager and operations with the facility, help with the accounting, dispatching, customer relations.
Favorite part about the job?
I like that we’re able to help our farmers out. We offer a low price fertilizer when costs have been soaring. A little thing we can do to help our society and our community. I like being a part of the process of farm to table.
Where is home now? Where are you from originally?
I’m from Buffalo, NY. I’m still in the same area. I did leave for 8 years for the military. I ended up coming back to my roots.
What is your background? Work? Education?
Right after high school I was a Health Care Specialist / Combat Medic in the U.S. Military. I served for 8 years. One deployment in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. In 2016 I pursued an Accounting Degree. I am currently pursuing a Masters in International Business.
When you're not working how do you like to spend your time?
Family, outdoor activities, amusement parks, hiking, scuba diving
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Ancient Civilizations – its so interesting to me to see how things have changed and things that have stayed the same. Especially agriculture.
If you could have any super power, what would it be?
Super power to heal. Unnecessary suffering is too much in the world.
What lessons have you learned while working at Liberty?
Farmers matter. Fields matter. Crops matter. You think farmers have it easy. There is a lot that goes in to it. It’s cool to further understand how the entire process.
